How is the Church working with families today? What does this ministry look like? What training and resources are available for those working in this field?

This booklet presents the findings of a joint research project from CGMC (Consultative Group on Ministry among Children) and The Methodist Church with Merida Associates. The aim of the project has been to better understand:

- who engages in family ministry

- the type of activity this involves

- the availability of training and resources.

We are Family highlights the key features of church-based family work and poses questions in response to what has been discovered.

It can be used to reflect on this field of work, as well as help those working with families to develop in their practice. At the same time, the booklet raises some vital questions for the Church to ponder, as we continue to create community and welcome families of many kinds.
